I am interested in constructed or staged photography, by which I mean that the images I produce are carefully posed in the studio and/or manipulated in some way (primarily digitally) for their final effect. The process is often intensive and detailed. I do this because I am interested in presenting a mixture of what seems to be factual information with clearly fantastical, improbable, impossible or unacceptable elements. By juxtaposing possible with impossible I hope to encourage my audience to question their preconceived notions and possibly see things in a new way. My photographic experience has lead to several commissions as an exhibitions and publicity photographer and I hope to continue my work in this vein.
